Satellite or Something Else?

“I’ve never told anybody but my wife about this since my father passed a few years ago, but when I was a kid, we were camping in Michigan. My dad was an amazing man. He’d taken me to the campground’s playground and he explained the star formations to me while we laid and looked at the sky.
One of the “stars” was moving. My father explained that it was probably a satellite. However, the light suddenly and without slowing down made a right angle turn. We thought our eyes must be playing tricks on us, but then it did it again. And again. It ended up making a complete box in the sky and then kept going straight. This thing never slowed down! I’ve included a drawing to show how this thing went. It was pretty unbelievable.
Like I said before, I’ve never told anybody else but my wife about this. I have no idea what we saw that night, but the look in my dad’s eyes told me that I should be very afraid.”
Thanks, Dave, for sharing your story. The first time anybody witnesses a UFO will stick with them for the rest of their life. Now the thing you have to ask yourself is, “Was this spacecraft government or alien?” It’s no secret that our government tests all kinds of amazing flying machines capable of feats we’re unable to comprehend. However, as long ago as your story took place, I’m skeptical that our government could have pulled off that kind of acrobatics like that at that time…
